Three years since I started performing with Sam and Charlotte at the Cafe Aroma in San Christobal de las Casas, Mexico. We started with a marimba , a single drum, a classical guitar and vocals , we gave the one microphone to Charlotte and the rest was acoustic. We would play for pesos in a straw hat and sell burnt cds for 5 dollars. Now with over a hundred shows performed as Fresia and the Offsprings, we are carving out a new sound for ourselves and are ready to record a 2nd collection of songs and music, number 5 for myself.
In 2008 we set out on a four month tour of North America performing our music , making new contacts and being adopted by many new friends. Highlights of the trip would be performing at the Winnipeg Folk and Guelph Hillside and Fredericton Harvest Jazz abd Blues Festivals as well as a host of smaller venues . Big thanks to all the amazing people we met and helped us out along our 15 thousand mile journey. The exposure that we had to new friends , music , food and cultures will be a positive influence on our music for a long time...
2009 plans are in the works for a new CD along with a US spring tour, followed by a summer tour of Eastern Canada. eric fresia
